Don't Mistake Execution for Strategy

"Strategy design operates at the organization level. Strategy execution operates at the individual level. If you don't make this distinction... you'll mistake individual action for strategy. And that can be disastrous."

I love this HBR article by Graham Kenny. It speaks to so much that I worked with clients to discern: when thinking about content creation, it is imperative to consider the larger strategic landscape. A strategy is not just "what," it's "how." How will you integrate content into your marketing eco-system? How will you create a content-rich consumer journey through your digital channels? You may have great content, but without a strategic deployment plan, its potential may remain unrealized.
